Campaign Continues to Save the City Farm

Campaigners have not given up on the City Farm. They have recently delivered copies of the open letter to all councillors demanding a reprieve of the farm.

Prominent amongst them was one Mehmood Mirza, well known campaigner for cleaner streets, cheaper parking, Palestine etc, and until recently a prominent, (though suspended) member of the local Labour Party. We see him below in this cutting from the Recorder.

We can’t help but think that we will see even more of the energetic Mr Mirza in the run up to the May local elections, where we suspect that Mr Mirza will throw his hat in the ring as a candidate for mayor.
