By-election Success for Labour in Maryland and Forest Gate

Good to see the “superb and talented” new councillors, who replace the “fantastic” and “outstanding” councillors who have stepped down.

Results:

The turnout was 41.25%.

The by-election battles for Little Ilford and Beckton will now commence.

The Independents are putting up, serial candidate, Tahir Mirza in Little Ilford and Shahzad Abbasi in Beckton.

James Alan Rumsby, Maria Clifford and Levoir Justine are running for the Lib-Dems, the Tories and the Greens respectively in Beckton.

And, Akm Mahibur Rahman,  MRM Faheem, Joe Oteng  are standing for the Lib Dems, the Tories and the Greens with Vijay Parthinan standing as an independent, Independent in Little Ilford.
