Homeless in Seattle or Homeless in Stratford?

Three of these pictures are from Newham. Can you tell which?

After spending money like it had gone out of fashion during the Covid lock-down, ostensibly to house vulnerable homeless people, the evidence on the streets suggests that they have just been dumped afterwards. Homeless people are now pitching tents on main roads.

We would like to know what the council is doing.

Are they content with this situation? The ‘caring’ council of 2020 seems to have evaporated and homeless and rootless people are left to pitch up wherever they can find a space.

It is small scale at the moment, but unless the council takes action it is likely to grow. The experience from the USA suggests that voters are not keen that their streets are turned into campgrounds and their parks are turned into toilets.
