Newham Comes Top Again. For All the Wrong Reasons.
In a table of the worst councils in England and Wales for repairing potholes, Newham has managed to take the top place, yet again.
The Independent reported on an FOI request from the Liberal Democrats, which revealed that it took Newham an average of 56 days to repair a pothole from the date that it was reported. It’s good to see that all of our additional council tax money is being put to good use.
The Times reported on 19th April, that this particular hole in Canning Town was waiting for two years to be repaired. Then the repair collapsed leaving a five-foot deep hole in the road.
This must be something of a record.
