It seems that Newham has adopted an alternative, sort of DIY, strategy towards homelessness. Small tent-villages are springing up.

Under Mayor Fiaz, despite the empty words, rough sleeping has escalated in Newham. Her failure to adequately address the problem creates problems for both rough sleepers and residents.

The mayor has bigger problems to deal with, so don’t expect any action on this.
