Residents take LTN Protests to Council Meeting

Some 2400 people are said to have signed a petition demanding an end to the Fiaz-Knows-Best, imposition of an LTN around West Ham Park. This was presented to the council on the 16th December while residents conducted a protest outside. A short video is available on You Tube.

The campaigners are now seeking a meeting with local councillors and the mayor. On top of other local problems, the proximity to Romford Road and the prostitution problem being one, local councillors might be well advised to meet with residents to try to diffuse this one.

The mayor has previously been very keen on “people power”. But she seems somewhat less enthusiastic when it comes to people expressing opinions that conflict with her own, for some reason.
