Loads-a-Money! Is Your Council Tax Money Subsidising Some Generous Incomes?

This isn’t about corruption, the mayor is absolutely opposed to corruption, so we can be clear that there will be no corruption under her regime. We only mention this because the mayor and her acolytes were wanting to assert corruption regularly in respect of the previous incumbent and his cabinet.

We thought that we would take a look at the income levels of the cabinet. These are the people who are paid over and above their councillor’s allowance perform specific duties.

These duties are clearly quite onerous because the allowances are significant.

Under the Wales regime, it appeared to be that everyone who received a full-time allowance was expected to work full-time. We can’t say whether they were worth the money, but at least they put in the hours.

Let’s see if that is still the case.
