It does appear that we have a little more information about parliamentary candidate for the Workers Party, Halima Khan. It appears that she is a former staff member of the Labour Party, and we presume a former Labour Party member. According to her own profile, she was responsible for leaking info to Al Jazeera and alleging widespread race discrimination in the structures of the party.

She is unlikely to get a majority, but her chances of hoovering up some of the disaffected votes seems to have improved as we learn, (thank you BL), that the application by Newham Independents to register as a party has been rejected by the Electoral Commission.

Unless they can get their act together, they may be unable to stand anyone in a parliamentary election.
