Newham Independents are First off the Mark

Cllr Sophia Naqvi has an uphill struggle if she wants to overturn Labour’s majority in the new constituency where she is facing her erstwhile council colleague, and recently selected Labour candidate, James Asser.

Still, the Independents have definitely won the prize for enthusiasm and effort, getting out on the streets ahead of anyone else.
