Anti-Zionism and Anti-Semitism are Different. Yeah.

The photos above were posted by a well-known local antisemite and member of Newham Council. She assures readers that “the majority in Latinoamerica is in solidarity with Palestine”.

The marchers are bearing the flag of that scion of stability, freedom and democracy that we know as Venezuela. A country which has entered the socialist utopia led by their incorruptible presidents Chavez and Maduro and in which the economy has tanked and  from which, the population has fled.

Still, we wouldn’t want the facts to get in the way of a good fairy story.

Wearing her anti-Zionist badge, Cllr Belgica Guana took to the streets to protest the “genocide” being committed in Gaza, but not apparently, the genocide being committed in Sderot. Guana is an old school anti-Zionist. You remember them, Hitler was right and the Jews have got it coming.

Guana was a candidate hand-picked by the Fiaz team to contest the 2022 election for Labour in Canning Town. It must have come as an unpleasant surprise to discover the truth about her politics. And, just days before polling, Guana was suspended by the Labour Party.

She was still on the ballot as a Labour candidate, and on all of the election material. If local Labour grandees were not embarrassed, they should have been.

We are told that not every anti-Zionist is an antisemite. That may well be true, it’s just that lots of them seem to be.

Words of wisdom shared by the councillor for Canning Town South and the ‘anti-imperialist Left’.
