Education Pledges
You might be forgiven for thinking that candidate Fiaz was a little confused in her education promises.
In her pledges on Education Candidate Fiaz said:
That’s fairly clear, support the schools we have and no new academies.
But when we look at her ‘campaigning’ pledges we see that she wants to
that’s something different. It means get rid of academies. It might simply have been a sop to her left-wing supporters. But it says the opposite of what she pledged on Education. It is also the opposite of what she has done. New academies have opened under her watch including the new SEN school.
But at least we know the truth. Mayor Fiaz doesn’t want academies. She’s going to campaign to get rid of them. It’s just as well, because clearly, we don’t want any more results like these below. Great heavens! Newham children seem to be excelling in some of these academies. Why on earth would anyone want that to happen?
