The Parliamentary Candidates are Announced

Few of the parties appear to have been prepared for the general election. Only the Greens appear to have been ready to get into election mode quickly.

The images, (such as they are0,  come from the Reform website. This must be a little embarrassing for Reform, who, according to the BBC appear to be standing Jeff Evans, Georgie David and Dan Oxley.

We think that Sathish Sundar (East Ham) should actually be Anand Kumar Sundar. 

So, plenty of choice. Labour is expected to win comfortably; the interest will be in how well the Greens and  Independents/Workers Party  candidates do against Labour in different parts of the borough and how much support Reform will take from the Tories.

Bizarrely, the Labour Party website (09/06/24) shows Lyn Brown as the candidate for West Ham and Beckton. This post just hints at some of the maneuverings that were going on behind the scenes. Unfortunately, somebody forgot to clean up the evidence. Was someone bought off? Will we see someone elevated to the Lords?
