We are beginning to see a pattern as the mayoral financial strategy unravels.

First there was the U Turn on Bulky Waste Charges.

Now we see the reversal of the policy to cut free school meals to primary school children.

Here he is again at International Holocaust Memorial Day in Newham Town Hall with the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, MP Lyn Brown (in the days when she would still be seen in the same room as Mayor Robin Wales) and Mayors Biggs (LBTH) and Wales (LBN).

It’s got to be bad, when even the Tory satirists at Guido Fawkes are taking pot shots.

It would seem the tables have turned and John Gray, Newham’s former-Deputy Mayor, and one-time Mayor Fiazco’s Defender-in-Chief has now become her biggest tormentor.

Here is Mayor Fiaz, promoting a local business.

“Good for her”, we hear you say. Except that this particular vendor of highly sugared confections, appears, according to residents and local councillors, to be the local distribution hub for a number of even more unwholesome and illegal substances.

The government urged councils to ensure that rough sleepers were not left on the streets during the first Lockdown. This was a good public-health policy designed to meet the needs of rough sleepers in any locality and ensure that they did not contribute to spreading the Covid virus.

The ‘Open and Transparent’ council seems to have blocked access to the Open Newham site for Newham Councillors.

At one level it is simply a joke.

At a second level it is a foolish exercise of the lazy minded.

Who “belittled” colleagues?

Who refused to make details of bullying allegations public?

In such circumstances it is entirely appropriate for the Mayor of a multi-faith borough like Newham to highlight the issue, to take steps to support individuals and create a climate in which they feel safe.

However, her choice of partners in this collaboration is the subject of some concern, both to liberally minded Muslims and those of other faiths.

The as-yet unpublished report on antisemitism in Newham states that "those who are directly responsible for political and institutional antisemitism in the Labour Party are generally the first to accuse their victims of aggression and disloyalty.

Is the Mayor telling the Truth? Deputy Mayor – Did He Jump or Was He Pushed?

It is evident that some Labour councillors are still unclear as to whether Cllr Gray jumped or was pushed.

It looks like all of those Labour councillors who are not on the mayoral payroll have fallen out with the mayor.

In case you can’t remember, the one on the left (figuratively and literally) is Jeremy Corbyn MP. Until April 2020 he was Leader of the Labour Party and by virtue of that role, Leader of Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.
